Anti Christian Bias Continues in Britain

By Southwest Nationalist. The anti-Christian bias imposed on Britain continues unabated as news emerges today that the BBC is to remove reference to BC/AD to “avoid offending non Christians” and that a Christian cafe owner has been persecuted for daring to display bible verses in his cafe.

First up, the BBC is to remove BC and AD because of fears that they may offend non Christians, instead replacing them with BCE (Before Common Era) and CE (Common Era).

“As the BBC is committed to impartiality it is appropriate that we use terms that do not offend or alienate non-Christians” states the BBC’s religious and ethics department.

Didn’t worry you offending Christians by screening that Jerry Springer The Opera, featuring such scenes as Christ wearing a nappy though and singing about being gay though, did it?

“Blasphemy is a different and more complex matter. Some of the angriest e-mails and letters we received focused on what the complainants took to be the most grotesque forms of blasphemy: Jesus Christ depicted as a sexual deviant in a large nappy, singing that he feels “a little bit gay” and so on” wrote Mark Thompson, then Director General of the BBC, in a piece “Why I stand by my decision to broadcast Jerry Springer – the Opera” in the Times.

“One can accept that some Christians might find the mention of Jesus, Mary and God the Father in the tawdry context of Jerry Springer — The Opera intrinsically offensive, and that offence was another serious factor for us to weigh up, but here the issue seems to be once again part of that argument about taste, decency and offence to public feeling rather than blasphemy” he continued.

Go on, do that with Mohammed, I dare you. I’d actually pay a BBC license fee if you dared to depict him wearing a nappy and singing about being a little gay.

No, of course not, you wouldn’t ever air it, you’d comply with the Muslim prohibition on giving a visual depiction of Mohammed, you’d not touch it with a barge pole.

It doesn’t come down to avoiding offence or challenging preconceptions in the slightest, it all comes down to who will be offended and whose beliefs are fair game.

For impartiality read pandering to minority, we must not offend minority, only majority.

Go on BBC, tell us that it is not so, that Islam, or other religions, are equally as open to satire and censorship in the name of avoiding offence as Christianity is?

Next comes news from a cafe in Blackpool, where the owner was threatened with arrest – for daring to display passages from the Bible on a TV screen in his cafe.

Two police officers arrived, and questioned Jamie Murray, who runs the Salt and Light cafe in Blackpool, for almost an hour over allegations that he had breached the Public Order Act 1986.

Apparently a customer at the cafe had complained that the text on the TV screen had incited hatred against homosexuals.

Quoting from the Daily Mail, “A spokesman said they were ‘duty bound’ to respond to the complaint and had concluded the cafe could be in breach of Section 29E of the Public Order Act, which warns that people who play images or sounds that stir up hatred against homosexuals could be guilty of an offence”.

We really see that law being applied to Muslims within this land of ours, among whose ranks are those who quite openly proclaim that homosexuals should be killed?

We see huge seizures of those DVDs they sell in many marketplaces proudly announcing their beliefs, many arrests, and Mosques raided because the speakers or Imams are speaking about, presenting, or promoting, such material?

Of course we don’t!

Law, like television, does not apply its ‘equality’ equally.

Some groups are allowed to cause offence, and nothing is done even if dozens complain – other groups will be subjected to threats and inquisition if only one person chooses to object.

Offence is purely subjective, and it is applied and enforced with absolute bias.

We will delete all reference to Christianity in case it offends someone, yet it is perfectly fine to offend Christians, and it is perfectly fine to turn a blind eye to the offence which other groups may cause.

There is in Britain – both officially and unofficially – a huge anti-Christian bias, a concept of law and offence which is applied in a distinctly unequal fashion.

I am not a Christian, but even I can see the wrong in a society which trumpets equality and yet which delivers nothing of the sort, instead being a society of chosen victims and chosen sacred cows.

Britain does have a strong Christian heritage, and like everything else among our heritage and the bonds which hold our society together, there is seemingly an active campaign to see that destroyed in the name of appeasing minority.

  1. The double standard being applied to whom the establishment chooses to prosecute for supposedly causing offence is striking. This is so blatant and obviously unfair that it would be simple to demonstrate this to the public in leaflets that could also highlight other injustices that we are suffering today as well, e.g. recruitment in certain professions being based on the grounds of race or gender. However, if the race was reversed and the same policy applied it would be regarded as offensive and racist.

  2. Non-Christians are not offended by BC and AD which orbit round the birth of Christ, as does BCE and CE; only the latter tries to mask it. The BBC in moving from the former to the latter is, however, making a stealth-attack on the Christian foundation of our culture which, when taken into account with other moves as mentioned in the article, is very insidious.

In the Christian Council of Britain we will try to do all we can to expose this cultural warfare on our faith and freedoms. No doubt the false prophets, Marx and Mahomet, will be turning in their graves at this: but our Prophet, and He is much more than a prophet, is not in the grave; neither is His faith!

  3. Sadly another case of, wipe out of the British culture in favour of this awful multicultural mess. May be BNP members should write to their local press about such things. Local newspapers are sometimes quite good if an issue is put over as constructive, thus not allowing the left wing creeps to cry race hatred.

  4. as a proud member of the british democratic party I hope we appoint a religious affairs spokesman. he or she could represent us on this massive subject as we try to protect our Christian heritage. the old party either provided no view to the media or the chairman just sounded off without thought.

  5. ( Party Official ) Today 8/ 4 / 2016 The Holy Father , the Pope , has confirmed that the Catholic church does not recognise GAY MARRIAGES. Neither do we NATIONALISTS. More to follow.

  6. ( Party Official ) We Nationalists , whether religious or not , believe in certain standards of BEHAVOUR. We can not condone such a LIFESTYLE and DEPLORE POLITICALLY CORRECT THINKING that ACTUALLY PROMOTES THIS SORT OF BEHAVOUR THAT DECENT PEOPLE FIND DISGUSTING. Defying the laws of NATURE many gays refer to normal people , in a derogatory manner , as ‘ BREEDERS !
