Jim Lewthwaite candidate for Wyke ward, Bradford

We are pleased to announce Jim Lewthwaite will be contesting Wyke ward in Bradford this May.

Jim Lewthwaite explains

Wyke has been neglected by successive Tory and Labour administrations in favour of inner city areas. Resources have been squandered on vanity projects, rather than improvements such as traffic lights or roundabouts on the key arterial intersections and on community facilities to replace Raw Nook and eventually Richard Dunn.

Immigration, globalisation and UKIP:

We are different from Tory, Labour and UKIP, with whom some might confuse the British Democrats.  We oppose the EU (whilst being pro-European) because of the influx of migrant workers willing to work for low pay, which suppresses wages and puts pressure on housing, education and health services. UKIP is essentially a free market global capitalist party to the right of the Tories, which opposes the EU because it wants big business to be unfettered from red tape. It is not the logical choice for the skilled worker, self – employed tradesman or the small businessman of Wyke.

Why the British Democrats?

We oppose the establishment parties because we wish to reclaim our  National JL2pngSovereignty, including our borders and control of immigration into the UK. We oppose foreign aid at the expense of defence, health,  education and social care provision. We also favour traditional values over post-60s “progressive”, “modernising”, which undermine our social fabric and cohesion. This does not make us extreme right wing. Many old Labour voters will recognise and appreciate our policies, just as much as old and traditional Conservatives. The British Democrats’ national policies set us apart.

Politically correct policing:

Ethnic sensitivities must not be allowed to prevent the investigation and prosecution of racist rape and grooming gangs or drug pushers.

Educational standards and aspiration need lifting:

We must strive to raise academic standards in academies to those of the old grammar schools. Our children are our future – they deserve better. Above all, they need to be taught to honour and respect their own identity, rich history and heritage. Moreover, we must provide high quality vocational and technical education; nurses, engineers, builders, plumbers, electricians and IT experts etc.

All help in respect of leafleting is appreciated by Jim and his team. If anyone wishes to get involved, please contact:   [email protected]

  1. ( Party Official ) Well done Sir ! The leaflet looks great . Could members have a copy with the next bulletin , through the post , that is well overdue !

  2. I hope our future leaflets carefully explain the fundamental differences between us and UKIP to a mostly politically unaware electorate. As Jim rightly says, UKIP is essentially an extreme globalist capitalist party ie Thatcherite Tories on steroids who only oppose our EU membership because it stands in the way (to a certain extent) from abolishing workers’ rights ect and a complete free market free for all to the DETRIMENT of THIS country. IN STARK CONTRAST, Enoch Powell opposed our membership for ‘traditional’ Tory reasons ie preserving our national sovereignty. UKIP are a branch office of Thatcherite Tory extremists in seemingly permanent exile.

  3. Best Wishes to brave man.
Its a pity the BDP are not contesting the GLA elections leaving us all a quandary, who to vote for The BNP or the NF. Me personally will vote for Richard Edmonds who is standing in my area. A fine and principled man, regardless for which party he chose as a vehicle.
Its time to get ones skates on

    • ( Party Official ) Well said Baz 4545. We are all ONE CAUSE. That of British Nationalism. All my efforts go into the BRITISH DEMOCRATIC PARTY as we have an UNSULLIED NAME , No EGO type people , are all VOLUNTEERS and have POLICIES and indeed a NATIONALIST way of THINKING that has been developed since 1967. ( The forming of the National Front ).

  4. Well done Jim , always there to answer the call Jim is in my opinion a beacon to young up and coming Patriots, selfless and dedicated. A few years ago I owned a business in Wyke and I remember how respected he was as a then BNP councillor sadly he suffered because of the stupid antics of the then BNP leadership. If there is any justice in this world the electorate of Wyke will come out in there droves and put this man back into the Council chambers where he belongs.

  5. Looks like a very good leaflet. The last of my batch of our Brexit/Immigration Concern leaflets went out today in north and central London, I’ll be ordering more of those. Will be interested to see the new leaflet. Best of luck to Jim.

  6. Although Mr Lewthwaite is a top class candidate I am somewhat disappointed that we are only, apparently, only fielding a single candidate across the 140 council authorities holding elections.

  7. I am disappointed we only have one candidate, perhaps it’s time to try to unite with other Nationalists.

    • John, sorry to hear you are disappointed that we are only standing one candidate in the local elections in May.

To stand more candidates we need members who are willing to put themselves forward (not everyone is prepared to that) and we also need a strong activist group in areas where candidates are prepared to stand. Synchronising the two is always difficult.

I note you are not a member and it would be most helpful if you were prepared to join us and become a candidate or even an activist.

      • I am in fact a member and have been for some time, I am also an activist and distribute leaflets. I realise how difficult it is to build up the party, however, unless we are seen to be moving forward people will not join us however bad the situation is in the country.

        • ( Party Official ) You are so right , johnM. We have done something to be so PROUD about. WE are MEMBERS OF THE BRITISH DEMOCRATIC PARTY.

          • ( Party Official ) Regarding the point you made , we now Need PUBLICITY to go with our RESPECTED NAME . Although not at the Level of FATHERS FOR JUSTICE , we need to get in the Newspapers and on the Television , so everything we do must be angled towards this !

  8. I am disappointed we only have one candidate, perhaps it’s time to try to unite with other Nationalists.
The idea of building the party from the ground up is obviously not working.

    • John, you say the “The idea of building the party from the ground up is obviously not working”.

Why don’t you come and join us and add more weight behind the idea?

  9. ”A wart is not a big thing in itself, but it’s a considerable addition to the end of one’s nose”…Alexander Scriabin. In these dire times for genuine nationalism, one little victory would stand out considerably.

There are no ‘big’ nationalist partys/groups in the UK now, and that includes the ones with a multitude of ‘likes’ on their ”Facebook”. Last year’s general election showed the extent of the BNP’s collapse..a mere 8 candidates.

Despite doing all the graft in bringing the issue of mass immigration to the forefront of political debate, nationalism has been eclipsed by the user friendly ‘alternative’ of UKIP. People conform, whether grudgingly or otherwise(increasingly grudgingly I am pleased to say), to the socially prescribed norms…It’s up to nationalists to challenge these ”norms” and expose them for what they are…nobody else ever will.

  10. Had a super morning posting Jim’s election leaflets to houses in Wyke this morning.Very well recieved and hopefully we have converted a few “don;t knows” will be out again Thursday if anyone cares to join us?

  11. Another great leafletting session yesterday, Wakefield BDP members enjoying the sunshine whilst spreading the word . Good feedback on the doorstep although It has to be said that “talk is cheap” it all depends on the voters dragging themselves away from Coronation Street and the rest of the mind numbing drivel on the TV and bothering to vote.

  12. ( Party Official ) Those NEW Members and Supporters of our Party may NOT REALISE that we have had some VERY HEALTHY VOTES during our first couple of years. However , being still a very NEW PARTY , we are ALMOST UNKNOWN. Therefore , below I have outlined a blueprint for Elections that I HOPE the Party ADOPTS. What say you ?

    • ( Party Official ) Areas that have COUNCIL ELECTIONS in two years time , need their first general recruitment leaflet next month ! Then some literature every six months until six months before the election. Then a SIX MONTH SUSTAINED CAMPAIGN , UNTILL THE ELECTION. jUST MOVING INTO AN AREA , THREE OR FOUR WEEKS BEFORE AN ELECTION DOES NOT WORK ! Both ourselves and many others have found this out to their cost ! …….

      • Following the above system will ensure that first people hear of us , then more of what we stand for , then a commitment to their area and then a good campaign , not just wanting to know about the area concerned because there is an imminent election. British Democratic Party , new but here to stay !
