EU Attempting to Force Britain to Agree the Exit Bill Without Regard to Future Relationship – Contrary To Article 50

The European Union (Michel Barnier) is not negotiating “Brexit” in accordance with Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty.  They are insisting that Britain agrees the ‘divorce fee’ before discussions on our future relationship can proceed.  This is in contradiction of Article 50(2).

Paragraph 2 of Article 50 states that

” In the light of the guidelines provided by the European Council, the Union shall negotiate and conclude an agreement with that State, setting out the arrangements for its withdrawal, taking account of the framework for its future relationship with the Union”  (Article 50)

By requiring Britain to reach an agreement regarding the ‘divorce bill’ prior to discussing any future relationship is contrary to the conditions of Article 50.

WATCH | David Davis reminds EU parasite Michel Barnier that he serves British taxpayers. That’s a totally foreign concept to unelected Eurocrats!

Well done to David Davis – don’t let Michael Barnier dictate!   If we agree the ‘Divorce Bill’ before we get agreement on the future relationship we will have little chance of ever getting a satisfactory relationship agreement.
