Slough – Welcome to Post English England

When John Betjemen, in 1937, wrote his famous poem “Come friendly bombs and fall on Slough, it isn’t fit for people now” he was referring to the hideous disfiguring industrialisation that had hit the Berkshire town during the first half of the twentieth century.

To be fair, as a town, Slough has never really had that much to commend it and its only claims to dubious fame being Betjeman’s poem, the entertaining “fly-on-the-wall” series “The Office” and it being the first local authority outside London to have a minority White British community.

As far as the latter “distinction” is concerned, it is now claimed that Slough is the “most ethnically diverse local authority area outside London in southeast England” a claim backed up by statistical fact.

From the nationalist perspective the town provides a glimpse of what, on current trends, much of urban England (perhaps even Britain) will look like in 2060 – when we are a minority in our own land.

What is as spectacular as it is depressing about Slough, is the speed of collapse of the White British community in that town. Particularly so during the decade between 2001 and 2011, when the last censuses were conducted.

In 2001 the population was 119,067 and the White British made up 58.3% of the community.

In 2011, the population mushroomed to 140,205 and with it the White British percentage fell to just 34.5%.

In other words the White British community – far from remaining stable (far less increasing) has actually fallen by over 20,000.

Clearly, so impressed were these Brits by the cultural enrichment foisted upon them that they “voted with their feet” and literally left town!

And when you look at the figures on a ward by ward basis it is not difficult to understand why.

White British in Slough wards 2011/2001 expressed as a percentage.

Baylis 15.8% (2011) – 34.9% (2001)
Britwell 61.1% (2011) -81.3% (2001)
Central 14.4% (2011) – 31.8% (2001)
Chalvey 15.8% (2011) – 39.3% (2001)
Cippenham Green 55.6% (2011) – 77.0% (2001)
Farnham 23.0% (2011) – 43.7% (2001)
Foxborough 42.3% (2011) – 69.1% (2001)
Haymill 54.5% (2011) – 75.0% (2001)
Kederminster 40.5% (2011) – 67.8% (2001)
Langley St Mary 44,7% (2011) – 70.7% (2001)
Cippenham Meadows 36.2% (2011) – 60.3% (2001)
Upton 25.2 (2011) – 53.9% (2001)
Wexham 29.1% (2011) – 50.4% (2001)
Colnbrook 46.8% (2011) – 74.1% (2001)

In other words: in 2001 the White British were a minority in “only” 4 of Slough’s 14 wards – by 2011 they were a minority in 10 of the 14.

Today the White British ethnic group constitutes just one in three of the town’s population. a proportion that is certain to decrease even further.

Nationalist should ponder these statistics at length – for it is a preview of what much of urban England, if not urban Britain, will look like in 2060.

Slough is the writing upon the wall as far as the English nation is concerned, we ignore what is written at our peril.

  1. (Party Member) Surprisingly Christians make up 4% of Pakistan’s 180 million people! Today there are a lot less of them due to an Islamic suicide bomber who slaughtered sixty odd and badly wounded one hundred and twenty. Of these many will die and the rest will have to live with terrible injuries. The militants also attack mosques full of Muslims from the wrong sect! There is a virtually world wide Islamic CIVIL WAR. Will it spread to Britain in places like Slough? Let’s pray it does not!
