Marine Le Pen and Stephen Sackur (HARDtalk)

On 10th October Marine Le Pen was interviewed on HARDtalk by Stephen Sackur.

Sackur’s questioning was somewhat hostile towards the Front National and to Marine Le Pen.  As the interview progressed, however, Marine was seen to be more than capable in dealing with Sackur’s  approach, putting him in his place (Conditioned BBC Attack Dog Reporter) and giving a rather good account of herself and her party.

  1. Stephen Sackur does seem somewhat smug, but if it’s called Hard Talk then I suppose he’s not there to make things easy… whoever he’s talking to.

What Remainers are quick to forget is the state of the British economy long before there was any mention by David Cameron of an in/out referendum. Between 2009 and 2015 the UK’s deficit rose from 3% to a record of 5.2% of GDP(£96.2 billion) the highest GDP in the developed world. Consecutive quarters of negative growth.

The scaremongering bandwagon have a very selective memory, how did being in the EU in any way help our economy ?…quite the reverse, it contributed to the problem of Britains large budget deficit.

These people will scrape the barrell ’til the bottom falls through…such is their desperation to keep the EU from crumbling into the abyss.

  2. I thought Sackur was for the most part, quite reasonable. I guess its simply the establishment ( of which he is a part, even though he probably thinks he is not ) is running scared. Folk like Marine are posing a serious threat by becoming, if not favourites to win Frances presidential race, great contenders.
Her father was defeated by a coalition of conservatives and communists, to defeat his effort. These groups hate each other, unlike our two main parties that are just two sides of the same coin.
Will it work twice and Marine be thwarted. Sarkosy is trying to talk tough, but as Marine points out . its just talk. Plus the outrages in Paris didn’t happen when her father stood.
Will she win , Will Trump win . It all becomes interesting times. Even if they lose. Sarkosy and Clinton . will over a short period, make the likelihood of Nationalism next time a certainty.
But lets hope this is the watershed now.

  3. Steven Sackur is employed by Peado loving and EU obsessed BBC after all the BBC is also the Labour Party’s Mouthpiece another reason to abolish the BBC and the Licence Fee Marine Le Pen deserves respect for not losing Her Temper I hope She becomes the next President of France along with Geert Wilders in the Netherlands if Donald Trump can become President of the USA then Why cannot Our Party Govern in Great Britain this Country needs to have a break from the LibLabCon criminals and Traitors

  4. Mr. Sackur is a dick, who talks forever, ¾ of the time, pointing fingers, interrupting their guests who cannot finish a single sentence. Especially when their opinion is not his. Every sentence of an answer is destroyed by him, hooking on and picking out single words found inside an answer, starting all over with further questions. He just does not listen to what his guest is saying. This is not the way to “talk”! Watching this “Hard Talk” is very stressful and does not inform or show the true opinion of a guest, because their answers are manipulated and their voice stifled by this man.
