Immigration and the Increasing Housing Shortage

By Southwest Nationalist. Even if we were to build 200,000 new homes a year – far above current levels – then by the year 2033 we will still be short of 800,000 homes, the number of homes in Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, and Nottingham, combined.

The shock findings, published by Migrationwatch, show that we face building 200 homes a day – just to house the extra population arriving via immigration.

36% of new households, more than a third, during 2001-2008 came as a result of immigration.

For a truly staggering figure, if we look at London, we find that 93% of new households during this period were – you’ve guessed it – as a result of immigration.

And the establishment claim that we aren’t being colonised? That figure alone highlights that statement for the falsehood that it is.

Also hidden in the increasing requirement for housing, and not included in these figures, will be the descendants of many who have settled here growing up and in turn wanting their own home.

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, mass immigration is the gift that keeps on giving.

The kicker to worsen the entire situation is that the number of new houses being built has actually declined drastically due to the recession, witnessing its biggest annual fall in three decades during 2008, and it’s still continuing to fall.

People keep coming, and the houses are simply not being built to accommodate them.

Even if house building was keeping pace, how much of our countryside would be swallowed up to accommodate homes for countless people year on year, how many of our towns and cities would become increasingly overcrowded?

With the additional demand for housing comes the additional demand on national infrastructure – police, NHS, fire service, the list goes on.

There is neither room nor resources to support the population of the UK expanding at this rate. We are overcrowded and overstretched as is.

We have an economy in tatters, a government which preaches austerity and cutbacks to all services – something which is utterly incompatible with the population growing at an uncontrolled rate.

Whatever those in favour of mass immigration may say, there is inevitably a point when there is no more room. It’s not a question of whether we’ll reach that point, we will – many believe we already have – but rather just when those in charge will wake up and decide that point has been reached.

Britain is a small island nation. We can keep on packing people in until there is not a trace of green left, everything has been concreted over to make way for more housing, but one day the point will come when even the pro immigration lobby will have to echo the call that there is “no more room”.

The sooner this nation wakes up to the terrible burdens being imposed upon it by mass immigration the better.

Every day we do nothing makes sure that when we are forced to confront these problems – and make no mistake about it that we will one day be forced, we cannot bury our heads in the sand forever – they will be all the harder to fix.

  1. Has anyone noticed the proliferation of trafic lights at motorway sliproads entrancing onto the motorways? I live just off the M3, and junction by junction moving further and further out of London these lights are being erected. Imagine just ten years ago being told that you needed trafic lights to get onto a motorway you wouldn’t have believed it!
We have continental type concrete barriers increasingly being used on our motorways.
These things aren’t being built and erected for the present, they are being built for what is to come. We are under an absolute tsunami of immigration so much so that my village fifteen years ago had one ethnic as far as I was aware. Now we have literally hundreds of Indians ( mainly IT ) and many blacks.
I wonder just what it was I did in a previous life to deserve this!

  2. We are living in a complete mad-house.

Regardless of the effect of ethnically cleansing the indigenous population, it is STILL utter madness to have allowed this and for it STILL to be happening every single day of the week. More, and more, and more arrive.

Today, tomorrow, the day after. The come, and come, and come.

People who should not even legally be here are not deported, criminals are not deported, and amnesties are given because the (purposefully) dysfunctional system is creaking at the seems and has thousands and thousands of backlog cases, as, yes, more and more still come!

Its like trying to dig yourself out of a grain silo at the rate of one spade full a minute when the top is being poured in at a rate of two spades a minute.

I live in the North, so I am used to a more sedate surroundings, but even this is getting unbearable. I hate, absolutely hate the idea of venturing into even more densely populated areas like cities and major towns. We are like rats in a rat run.

It was only in the papers the other day that they are suggesting widening motorways to four lanes in some areas and wanting to use the hard shoulder in other areas as extra lanes.

Despite the lunacy of using hard shoulders for anything other than breakdowns and emergency ambulance access – the countryside is going to suffer and I can guarantee that by the time the road widening programme is constructed and done(which ever way), it will be choc-a-block almost immediately.

Labour, I seem to remember, promised to not widen any more motorways and such, didn’t they? I think they ended up doing, whilst also importing a whole new population at the same time as though it was not in any way linked!

There was also a report about trains being increasingly overcrowded, so it is not a case of getting motorists off the road either. Off the road to where? To be jammed into another metal crate with hundreds of other people? Human beings, in my view, are just not designed or made for living like battery hens.

Not a single person should come here through immigration from here on in, and we need to be reversing it!. It is utter, utter madness.

The housing projections are horrific enough, let alone the issues that are going to come along with it and into the future.

Yet, despite the utter lunacy of this evolving situation, you can be guaranteed that the usual suspects of liberals and pro-immigration lobbyists will STILL be out to shout down ANY sensible plans to put an end to this madness!

There was a radio debate on the proposed changes to the planning laws earlier this week on Radio2. It was on for about 20 to 25 minutes, and throughout all of it, immigration and what was driving the need to build more “affordable housing” was not even mentioned or hinted at ONCE. Not once.

In fact, it was spun around your average Mr and Mrs not being able to buy houses in/near their villages etc, first time buyers, youth getting on the housing ladder.

No! What it is, is mass migration and the process of ethnic cleansing, which we, the taxpayer are no doubt having to fund!

The indigenous population’s TFR is in decline! Ergo, just who do we need to be paving all over the countryside for? It certainly is not us and our future descendants!

It would not surprise me in the slightest either, if this was manipulated by the Lib Dems to quietly usher in their “dispersal” idea of immigrants, so as not to overwhelm the south-east any more.

I seem to remember that they had it as an issue before the elections, and no doubt they want to destroy every English and Welsh hamlet, village, backwater town so that there is nothing solidy left of us and “old Britain” any more.

Go into the cities from some of the areas like the Lake District, and the composition difference is drastically sharp. No doubt they see this as a potential problem, and will seek to “solve” it as soon as possible so we can be smothered together, uniformly, under their chloroform soaked pillow which they seem determined to snuff us out with in our sleep.

Or am I just being paranoid again? lol. Probably.

  3. Since this wonderful article and great comments were written we have formed the British Democratic Party. Please join if you enjoyed and agreed with the above.

  4. Whilst there has been much to applaud from the Conservative Conference ( I know I know , but having listened to the La , La land people who sang the ‘ Red Flag ‘ last week ) I was dismayed to hear there is a plan to build 40 , 000 Houses ! With current levels of Immigration we probably need to build that many a WEEK for a couple of YEARS !
