Foreign Aid Funding Palestinian Suicide Bombers Families

Here’s one triumph of foreign aid that the Department for International Development (DFID) would rather you didn’t know about – how your money is being used to ‘compensate’ the families of Palestinian suicide bombers.

That’s right, you couldn’t make it up, strap a bomb to your body and become a ‘martyr’ in the West Bank and the good old British taxpayer will make sure that your family receives a nice cash payout.

According to official Palestinian newspaper Al-Hayat Al-Jadida some 3.5% of the aid budget Palestine receives (around £86 million yearly) is being spent on the families of so called martyrs killed fighting Israel, including suicide bombers. That’s about £5 million.

Come on down, the price is right, blow yourself up and take a few Israelis with you, there’s cash prizes to be won!

Further payments, estimated to be around £3 million yearly, are made to the families of terrorist prisoners who are serving sentences in Israeli jails.

The lunacy of the whole situation is astounding.

Work in the Palestinian Civil Service you’ll earn £515 a month. Get yourself sentenced to more than 30 years for terrorism in an Israeli prison and you could end up on over £2000 a month. All paid for via foreign aid from the UK and the EU.

That’s right ladies and gentlemen, become a terrorist and quadruple your earning power, we in the west will see that you get a cheque every month.

In recognition of how well our money is being spent, Britain has committed itself to giving at least £86 million a year until 2015. Seriously. Ain’t it great to see your tax £ in action?

And they tell us our money is meant to bring peace and improve people’s lives – it really isn’t doing that by making terrorism and suicide bombings become a financially attractive option.

Welcome to the insane world of foreign aid, handing out cash incentives to become a martyr.

Strap on that semtex and head out in search of targets, you too could win the foreign aid lottery and a guaranteed income for life for your family.

Idiot Britain will just keep on signing the cheques.

  1. NO COMMENT………….
    The article said it all.
    Nothing to add.

  2. …Not forgetting the (U.S./U.N./N.A.T.O.) foreign aid that funds the terrorist and morally and politically illegitimate bandit state of Israel in order to ethnically cleanse the Palestinians.

Objectivism -not subjectivism- in your analysis, please.

At what point is a freedom fighter a “terrorist”? Vis-a-vis “terrorist” with “racist” and you will get my point.

A disappointing comment for an otherwise splendid and informative website. (If this is the view of one person it should be espoused as such.)

    • This story doesn’t cover all angles – it was never intended to.

Your own comment is very interesting though – does it not highlight part of the message here, that (via aid of one form or another, whatever we choose to call it) Western money is being used to support both sides in a conflict (whatever the rights or wrongs of that conflict).

That’s a recipe for oppression of peoples, profits for a few, and perpetual war – there’s no incentive for the peoples involved to fix it when the West try to back all players.

The average person, be it the Jew blown up by a suicide bomber, or the Palestinian shot by an Israeli soldier, gain nothing and indeed are more likely to suffer as a result of the Wests efforts.

Our money and support perpetuate conflict – the world would be better off without our meddling, at least then there would be some incentive on other nations to resolve their own issues.

In brief, it doesn’t matter who is right, who is the freedom fighter, who is the terrorist (yes, again interchangeable, all matters of perspective) – whilst we play both sides and back both with money, average people suffer.

(apologies for clumsy quick reply, snuck a look here in between moving house)

      • Quite: the West backs both sides -though to a lesser extent it funds by aid (rightly so in my opinion)the Palestinians. If one creates its own negation then one controls the opposition (for the end goal of securing permanent conflict which in turn justifies Israel’s actions).

Israel is a parasite state that produces nothing but Jaffa oranges (so from where does its arsenal come?) and has no moral or legal right to justify its actions -unless, of course, it is continually bombarded by a supposed “terrorist” state that apparently hates Jews for no other reason than its objection to and aversion of Jewry. Of course, this is nonsense: the Palestinian intifada is one of defence of land and people and ought to be therefore recognised as such.

Nationalists should endeavour to put themselves in the predicament of the Palestinians: would nationalists accept the occupation of their land by another, alien, people with no legal or moral basis and right to be there? (Compare with the rise of Islam in Britain and the associative occupation of our land).

Contrary to popular opinion, the Jews do not own Palestine. They cite the diaspora exacted against them by the Romans (the Romans did not dispel any other peoples of whom’s land they invaded, so why did they “dispel” they Jews -or is it a lie?)

Nevertheless, Palestinian land was Arab land before Moses: The Philistines and Canaanites were there first. Let Israel not pick and choose for its own end the reality of history.

Thanks you for your reply of clarification.

        • Okay, you mean we all need to stand up for the very same Palestinians who the leftists cause riots at colleges over? Some “nationalists” will do anything to spite the Israel lobby it’s actually quite pathetic.

  3. More of this type on information should be put into leaflets and either handed out left on trains, doctors surgeries or any other public areas, these wars are nothing to do with Britain and we can’t afford to be wasting money at this rate.
