Six religious fanatics from the Birmingham area have pleaded guilty to planning to bomb an English Defence League (EDL) rally in Yorkshire.

The men, named as Mohammed Hasseen, Omar Mohammed Khan, Anzal Hussain, Mohammed Saud, Zohaib Ahmed and Jewel Uddin admitted in court to have planned and attempted, an act of terrorism.

The court heard how five of them transported a homemade device to Dewsbury, West Yorkshire last June – where the EDL were holding a rally.

The plot failed because the rally ended much earlier than the gang (and organisers) had anticipated.

The “home-grown” terrorists were caught after their car was stopped on the M1 as a result of a routine vehicle check.

Both the police and security services admitted in court that they had no intelligence about the planned attack and that the plot was only discovered after one of the vehicles being driven by the gang was stopped because it did not have insurance cover.

Only one of the men, Jewel Uddin, was under surveillance at the time – this being because he had links to other identified extremists.

A spokesman for the EDL said he welcomed the convictions.

On 30 June 2012, the EDL organised a rally in Dewsbury, despite attempts by the town’s huge Muslim community and Labour Party to have it banned.

Police estimated that around 750 EDL supporters, plus passers-by, attended.

Whilst the rally was in progress the five men travelled to the venue in two cars, one of which transported an explosive device containing over 300 nails and around 100 ball bearings.

The gang also had in their possession two sawn-off shot guns, parts of other explosive devices, knives and a long printed message, dated the same day, describing their motivation and calling the Queen a “female devil”.

The message read: “To the EDL. O enemies of Allah! We have heard and seen you openly insulting the final Messenger of Allah… you should know that for every action there is a reaction.

“Today is a day of retaliation (especially) for your blasphemy of Allah and his Messenger Muhammad. We love death more than you love life. The penalty for blasphemy of Allah and his Messenger Muhammad is death.”

However, unknown to the gang, the rally had ended early due to a key speaker not being able to attend.

Thwarted, the would-be bombers left Dewsbury but were later stopped by traffic police on the M1, allegedly for having no car insurance.

The vehicle was impounded but it wasn’t until the vehicle was properly searched, some days later, that the weapons and bomb were discovered.

Following the subsequent arrests, it emerged that Uddin was already known to both the police and MI5.

According to court testimony he was an associate of another group of Islamist terrorists, also based in Birmingham, who were jailed only last week for planning a major terrorist outrage in Britain.

Another gang member, Ahmed, had been previously charged with possession of jihadist magazines that included bomb-making instructions and was actually on bail at the time of the failed Dewsbury bombing.

A statement from the Birmingham Coalition of Muslim Organisations and Mosques, which says it represents most of the city’s 230,000 Muslims, said: “The Muslim community in Birmingham wishes to make one thing absolutely clear: These acts are not carried out in our name.”

We have said it before and we will say it again – it’s inevitable and only a question of time before one of these bungling gangs of self-styled terrorists gets “lucky” – not to mention the dreadful consequences should trained gangs of maniac Jihadists ever get established in this country. And we have the Lib-Lab-Con conspiracy to thank for this shocking state of affairs.

What a load of tosh, these heinous acts are supported and financed by numerous fanatics aided by the leadership of the local Mosque.
As Nationalist we realise that these people hate us,we just have to hope that the population as a whole eventually realises this too.
